CERT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!

On Thursday April 25, Timber Ridge at Talus, in conjunction with the City of Issaquah, will run a federally required evacuation exercise of Timber Ridge.  The City has asked for the assistance of the CERTs in running the reception center.  This is a great opportunity for us to respond to the city's request to demonstrate how we can quickly form together as a team to assist in this exercise as if it were an actual event.  The exercise is scheduled to run from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM on Thursday, April 25.  We will need 10-12 CERT volunteers to arrive at the City Senior Center by 9.30 AM.  Bruce Wendt will lead you through a short J-I-T (Just in Time) training regarding your duties.  Then he will instruct you as to the set-up of the physical layout in preparation of the participants' arrival at approximately 10:30 AM.  Because this is the first time that this type of evacuation is being attempted here in Issaquah, there will only be about 25+/- Timber Ridge participants.  This is sized so that we and the City can be better prepared for the "real" thing with lessons learned to be enunciated in the After-Action Report.  This exercise will be concluded no later than 1:00 PM and hopefully sooner.  Please register to assist and thanks in advance.
