How do I obtain an amateur radio license?

In order to obtain an amateur radio license, you are required to pass a test.  Classes are offered throughout the Puget Sound area to provide training to obtain an amateur radio license and administer the test.  If you pass, you will receive a certificate before you leave (you do have to wait approximately 10 days before receiving you call sign, though, from the FCC).  The classes are usually over two days and may require a small fee to cover costs of administering the test(s) required to obtain your license.  To find out locations in the Puget Sound area more convenient for you, click here.

Ham Radio Training/Testing - Virtual training/testing sessions are available.  Below are links which may help you study for the class and/or take the test.
